Description Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-06-23 22:40:58 EDT
Planning tab in task editor for web tasks should show summary and other attributes.

Currently planning tab is using hardcoded check for LocalTask (yuck!) and hides that section for anything else.
Comment 1 Mik Kersten CLA 2007-06-24 19:26:30 EDT
The summary is editable so wouldn't it get overwritten on the next synch, breaking user expectation?

I don't think it will get overwritten and my main concern was about web tasks that got dragged from the web browser or dragged from web query into a category node

Web tasks dragged in from the browser get the title. I would like us to maintain the separation between repository tasks (have a separate tab for editing summary/attributes) and non-repository task (do not). It seems like doing this will break that separation.

Still weird that web tasks do have browser tab and local ones - don't.

BTW, both local and web tasks are missing task activation button on editor fancy bar.

Yes, we need to add that button for consistency: bug 194248
Comment 6 Mik Kersten CLA 2007-07-23 22:09:58 EDT
Bug 192428 is now fixed.

Eugene: if planning on providing a patch for this please propose changes first.
Comment 7 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-07-23 22:18:02 EDT
what change?
Comment 8 Mik Kersten CLA 2007-07-24 00:30:08 EDT
What I mean is to describe any changes that you would create in the patch first so that we can iterate on them before committing to an implementation strategy.
Comment 9 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-07-24 00:35:47 EDT
I wasn't going to provide patches for this.
