Component: wst.sseAssignee: Nitin Dahyabhai <thatnitind>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE QA Contact: David Williams <david_williams>
Severity: normal

OS: Windows Vista
Whiteboard:

Description Brad Cupit CLA 2007-06-20 12:00:01 EDT
Build ID: I20070608-1718

Steps To Reproduce:
1. using the New Project wizard, create a new Dynamic Web Project; use all of the defaults
2. for Target Runtime, setup Apache Tomcat v6.0 using all of the default values
3. a Servers project is also created, containg server.xml, web.xml, etc.
4. Open web.xml (with the xml Structured Text Editor)
5. CPU goes to 100% and does not return to normal until web.xml is closed

More information:
Eclipse 3.3. RC4
WTP 2.0 RC3
Windows Vista Enterprise Edition (note: not using Eclipse 3.3. with WPF early access)
JRE 1.6.0_01
Apache Tomcat 6.0.13

Workaround:
open web.xml in the normal Text Editor (no syntax highlighting or auto complete, but the CPU doesn't stay at 100% either)

Brad, please retest with a 20070620 or newer. This looks like bug 192530.

grr..I'm sure this is a dupe of bug 192530. Just to make sure, I will retest when RC4 comes out tomorrow (June 21, 2007). Sorry about that.

I'm excited about the fix though!
