Description Liz Dancy CLA 2007-06-15 17:10:23 EDT
I get a variety of responses from time outs to the process being launched without probe data showing up to the probe data showing up with specific filters removed. I really think this should be more consistent so users don't give up.

Seva, I am hoping you can help to debug on the agent side and if necessary re-assign to the agent controller team and/or the JVMTI Team. The local Linuxia32 probe insertion is very stable but I think this needs to be addressed in the next release post 4.4. Note that this is supported in JVMPI so its not blocked. I am adding a readme for users in 4.4.

Update target to 4.4.1

From Seva,
Nothing indicates this is a probekit
bug. My guess is that something happens in the client communication
layer.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. Since this defect is more than 2 years old, it may be no longer relevant. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this defect is resolved as WONTFIX. If this defect is still relevant and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
