Bug 192555

Summary: [JVMTI] Reattach agent collect no data
Product: z_Archived Reporter: Eugene Chan <ewchan>
Component: TPTPAssignee: Guru Nagarajan <guru.nagarajan>
Status: CLOSED DUPLICATE QA Contact:
Severity: blocker

Version: unspecified
Target Milestone: ---

OS: Windows XP

Description Eugene Chan CLA 2007-06-13 19:39:08 EDT
Driver: tptp.sdk-TPTP-4.4.0-200706130823

To reproduce:
1. Launch an Java application from WB.
2. Interact with process and collect data.
3. Detach from agent.
4. Reattach to agent.
5. Interact with reattached process.

Note there is no data collected in step 5 and empty view is shown.

The suspicious thing here is in step 4, agent is shown as monitored right after re-attach without any start monitoring action. This is a different behavior from JVMPI, which require a start monitoring action.

This exists with JVMTI profiling only and does not exists with JVMPI.

The 187090 resolves this.
