Description Denis Roy CLA 2007-06-01 09:43:46 EDT
I posted this on the eclipse.platform.ua newsgroup, because I'd like to 'brand' the three infocenter help sites on help.eclipse.org to make it clear which version of Eclipse you're currently on:

I run the infocenters at help.eclipse.org. Actually, I run three: one for Eclipse 2.1 (help.eclipse.org/help21), one for Eclipse 3.1 (help.eclipse.org/help31) and one for Eclipse 3.2 (help.eclipse.org/help32).

There are also plans to install a fourth infocenter: one for the latest stable/RC.

The problem is that from a user's perspective, they all look the same, and when users hit a docs page from a Google search, it's not obvious what Eclipse version the docs refer to.

I responded to your newsgroup post.

Basically, adding a banner is trivial, changing the title requires significant code changes.

Good stuff, thanks for your help. I added banners to the 3.2 and 3.1 Infocenters. It doesn't seem to work on 2.1, however, but that's not too critical.
