Description Michael Woski CLA 2007-05-30 12:03:39 EDT
This bug is in the sequel of Bug 165533 as the following problem has started to show with the patch that had been applied there.

When hovers are enabled in the Java editor, depending on the icons, you normally would get the QuickFix list. This is happening indeed, but the real problem is that the list disappears as quick as it had appeared, so you don't have a chance to do anything with the list. But I've made some discovery, namely that if you focus on some other view part in your workbench, so that the editor consequently looses its focus, and then do the hovering the QuickFix list stays open just as you would expect.

Hope this description made it clear

An update on the situation. The problem still exists in Ganymede 3.4.2

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
