I would like to suggest that adding a 'Go to Folder' menu item in the menu that appears when righ-clicking any resource (file, package, project) in the IDE.

this really helps especially if you have a deep nested packages.

What exactly will it do? Open a specific view with that file or folder? Which view?

It should open the folder in the file system in which this resource exist in.

for example, if applied to a file in package: org.x.y.z.MyClass.java it should open the folder "org\x\y\z" in Windows explorer (in case of windows).

No plans for this in JDT/UI and most likely also not in the platform. Help is welcome, would be good to have something like this as an external plug-in.
