The builders of php builds the code inspection database - outlines, code assist, problems etc. there is no reason to cancel this process. (if your problem is that the builder is stuck then maybe the fix we've made in the latest integration build I20070520 will help) *** Bug 188477 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** The builder is slow, very slow. There is *most definitely* a valid reason to cancel a build when you have around 6K files in a project and the builder is taking so long, you can't even save files or work with eclipse until it finishes. I agree with you, but your comment smacks of ignorance. Has PDT been tested with more than a few files? On more than a top of the line windows machine? Other's needs differ from yours, just because you think it's not "proper" to cancel a builder, doesn't mean it's not necessary in certain cases. Also, I am using the most recent nightly that fixes the stuck builder problem. My builders work fine, just so agonizingly slow that PDT is unusable for large projects. Cancel button should work now. This bug is now fixed Changing OS from Mac OS to Mac OS X as per bug 185991 |
