My concern is for first time users; I'd rather not scare > them with a dialog box the first time they start up Eclipse. I'm torn about this. The argument to keep it has been that we are setting a JDT preference (content assist), not just our own preferences. However, there used to be more preferences that we set of that sort, they are now gone, so I think we should explore removing this. Wayne: could you please file a bug against Mylar? Mik & Wayne, is there a bug against Mylar about the initial configuration dialog available somewhere? I couldn't find anything in bugzilla. Well, I found the bug report, its Mylar bug 187880 Initial Perspectives: CPP - C Perspective Java - Java Perspective RCP - Java Perspective JEE - J2EE Perspective The problem with the initial Mylyn dialog is resolved. Correct, the Mylyn wizard will not show anymore. More on that is mentioned in bug 194766 comment#11. |
