Bug 186676

Summary: Add APIs for Java launching
Product: [Eclipse Project] JDT Reporter: Genady Beryozkin <eclipse>

Description Genady Beryozkin CLA 2007-05-12 08:42:26 EDT
Build ID: 3.3M7

Steps To Reproduce:
If a plug-in needs to launch java applications with a separate launcher, it would be best if it could use JDT apis.

As a concrete example - there is lots of useful logic in the JavaApplicationLaunchShortcut class which I'd like to use, as well as in the DebugTypeSelectionDialog class.

Can you at least add an API factory method to create DebugTypeSelectionDialog (as an FilteredItemsSelectionDialog) for 3.3?

Comment 1 Darin Wright CLA 2007-05-12 08:56:34 EDT
API has passed for 3.3. This will have to wait for 3.4.
Comment 2 Genady Beryozkin CLA 2007-05-13 18:31:54 EDT
I should only add that the JUnitLaunchShortcut is already an API.
Comment 3 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-10-26 01:08:11 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
