Description Asaf Yaffe CLA 2007-05-08 09:21:36 EDT
Driver: agntctrl.win_em64t-TPTP-4.4.0-200705071739
O/S: Windows XP 64
Platform: Intel Core 2 Due 6300
Agent Controller JVM: JRockit R27.2 (1.6.0) for Windows EM64T

I launched a JVMTI Profiling session from the Eclipse workbench. Everything worked fine and data was properly collected, but when the profiled Java application finished, the RAServer process crashed.

Bing, would you please try to reproduce this?
Comment 2 Bing Xu CLA 2007-05-08 11:33:25 EDT
Asaf, did you launch JVMTI from Eclipse workbench running on XP 64? If so which version of Eclipse you were using? And I don't think JDK 1.6 is supported by TPPT 4.4. Can you see if you can reproduce is with JDK 1.5/1.4?
Comment 3 Asaf Yaffe CLA 2007-05-09 02:43:57 EDT
I was using Eclipse 3.3 (integration build, as specified in the TPTP driver dependencies section). I launched the JVMTI Profiler from the workbench. Eclipse was running under Java 5.0. The problem is not related to the Java version used by the Agent Controller. I can also reproduce this problem with Java 5.0 for EM64T (JRockit R27.2 1.5.0_10).

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
