Bug 185769

Summary: [Sync View] Selected model type is always "all models"
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Guilherme Campos Hazan <guich>
Component: CVSAssignee: platform-cvs-inbox <platform-cvs-inbox>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P5 Keywords: helpwanted
Version: 3.3
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 2000
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Guilherme Campos Hazan CLA 2007-05-07 10:11:00 EDT
Build ID: M20070212-1330

Steps To Reproduce:
1. select a project that has cvs, then synchronize it (with some visible modifications).
2. You will see that the default hierarchy view is "all models". Change it to "workspace".
3. Now go back to the last view (or close eclipse), and repeat the steps. You will see that it came back to the same "all models" view, instead of using the last one selected.

More information:
Note: this started to occur in a later Eclipse version. I think that in version 3.1 or 3.0 it was not ocurring.
Comment 1 Michael Valenta CLA 2007-05-07 15:21:13 EDT
This occurs for the model based Synchronization but not the old Synchronizations (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/CVS_FAQ#Synchronizing_has_some_regressions_in_Eclipse_3.2._Why.3F)

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
