- enable 'Use colors in labels' on Java > Appearance
- look at the contents of a project in the package explorer:

Horizontal scroll bars are missing.

Note:
Our code installs a EraseItem and a PaintItem listener, but no MeasureItem listener as the labels we draw have the same measurements as the native labels.
