Description Robert Konigsberg CLA 2007-04-27 17:55:59 EDT
Build ID: I20070323-1616

Steps To Reproduce:
Preferences/Plug-in Development/Target Platform.

If I type into the Target Platform's Location dialog box, several things happen. My intent, by the way, is to navigate to "/opt/eclipse"

1. When I type "/", there is a delay as Eclipse tries to resolve "/". I can't keep typing, and there is a delay.
2. As I type "/opt/eclipse", since Eclipse spending more time looking at the filesystem and displaying a dialog box, some of my keystrokes are missed, so typing "/opt/eclipse" sometimes winds up as "/opt/eclise", and so on.
3. Every change to the text box results in adding to the text box's history.

Suggested resolution: delay 0.5 seconds before taking the change.

I will attach an image of the drop-down.
