- had several perspectives open, including team perspective
- shut down
- deleted org.eclipse.vcm.core plugin directory
- restarted
- had errors starting up, presumably because plugins dependant on vcm core could not initialize
- team perspective came up, but:
	- it had the generic perspective icon
	- it did not have team-specific views, only navigator, task list, and properties 
- tried to reset perspective, but this made no change (not surprising, since the other views aren't available)
- closed team perspective
- tried to reopen it using Perspective / Open / Other...
- it wasn't in the list

Strange that I had a perspective open on startup which is unavailable in the list.

Perhaps, on startup, the Workbench should remove any UI aspects which no longer have their underlying plugin available.

Must reproduce this a check what happen in the latest build. We changed the 
startup code a lot but did not test this scenario.

Reproducible in build 20021001.  

Error dialog appears to user upon restart, and errors are logged to the console.

Strange behaviour with the perspective appearing in the list:

If team perspective has been opened by the user selecting it from the left 
toobar and the user has CVS Repositories Exploring selected in Customize 
Perspective ... Window > Open Perspective, then it will appear in the default 
list, but not the Perspective / Open / Other list.

Otherwise, it will not appear.
