Description Brian Bauman CLA 2007-04-04 17:37:06 EDT
In the Dependencies view, when the user clicks Find Unused Dependencies we use the model found in the PluginRegistry (since we don't have a working copy). This model seems to neglect to load Import-Package information.

Upon initialization, PDE creates WorkspaceBundleModels for each project. There bundleModels are initialized with a BundleDescription. Unfortunately, when this happens it doesn't load all the heads, specifically the Import-Package header. Since the .isLoaded() returns true, one cannot distinguish between an Bundle which contains no imported packages and one that is halfway initialized.

Comment 3 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-07-16 08:24:45 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
