Description Gerry Kessler CLA 2007-03-30 12:12:20 EDT
When 142056 is fixed, not only will the registry not be compatible with old, but the project references to the old libraries will be broken. End users who have pre-WTP2.0/JSF1.0 projects will be affected.

However it is unclear if the effort involved to provide an migration utility is warranted as technically the JSF stuff was "preview". This bug is to track comments and opinions on whether we need do this or doc it.

The manual steps required will be:
  1) recreate JSF Library registry
For any project with JSF facet:
  2) manually remove all the jars in WEB-INF/lib that may have been copied as part of an old JSF Library
  3) remove any J2EE Module dependencies that may exist on jars associated with an old JSF Library
  4) Using Java Build Path for project, Add Library --> JSF Libraries --> choose JSF libs to reference
  5) Add J2EE Module Dependecy to any library that should be deployed/exported with WAR
