Description amehrega CLA 2007-03-26 17:40:06 EDT
In TPTP 4.3 there was an effort made by Intel committers to merge some of our views to improve usability and bring out functionality that was always viewed to be hidden from the user.

In TPTP 4.4, there were three views introduced related to thread analysis. Although these views are very effective and critical in providing a comprehensive profiler, we need to have them present consistently with other TPTP views.

The three thread analysis views (i.e. thread statistics, thread visualizer, and call stack) should be merged under one single multi-page view. The first page can display the thread visualizer and the call stack information using two separate vertical sections and the second page can display the thread statistics information.

The new view can be called thread analysis and linked from a single toolbar item beside the other three statistical views that are available in TPTP (see the snapshot).

I also believe that the object allocations view should have been merged with the memory statistics view. I opened a separate defect that was closed as invalid (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=178303)

I agree with you Ali. This has to be addressed in iteration 3 after the core testing is complete.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. Since this defect is more than 2 years old, it may be no longer relevant. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this defect is resolved as WONTFIX. If this defect is still relevant and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
