For BtM need to move the following plugins in the AC install.

org.eclipse.tptp.trace.arm
org.eclipse.tptp.monitoring.instrumentation
Comment 1 Hubert Leung CLA 2007-03-19 17:36:05 EDT
Randy,

These are extensions to agent controller. They used to be a tech preview and the zip file includes an overlay for the agent controller. This tech preview is now ready to be part of the GA deliverable. The AC extensions involved are not "proper plugins" (like probekit). They are not taken directly from the workbench plugins. They don't include native code.

On 4.4 download page: http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/?buildId=TPTP-4.4.0-200703190100#btm
click on the "Agent Controller Plugins" link to see how the plugins are packaged right now.

When you or Kiryl work on the script change for getting "plugins" for AC, please handle this bug as well.

Thanks,

Hubert

In order for a component to work with the new Integrated Agent Controller, everyhing included in the 'plugins' folder of the Agent Controller has to be converted to an Eclipse plugin and also be shipped as part of the TPTP workbench plugins.

See bug 178160 for more details.

Moving to Blocker, should have been fixed in i2, blocks some features.
Comment 4 Kiryl Kazakevich CLA 2007-04-12 11:39:13 EDT
As far as I understand the required plug-ins is been preparing in the btm.agentController zipfile. Is it correct?

I see three plug-ins in this file:

  org.eclipse.tptp.monitoring.instrumentation
  org.eclipse.tptp.trace.arm
  org.opengroup.arm

Have all three to be included into AC install, or only first two as it was mentioned in the bug description?
Comment 5 Matt Mings CLA 2007-04-12 12:50:58 EDT
All the following need to be included in the AC
org.eclipse.tptp.monitoring.instrumentation
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.arm
org.opengroup.arm
org.mx4j.jmx
Comment 6 Kiryl Kazakevich CLA 2007-04-12 13:00:37 EDT
Ok. What is org.mx4j.jmx? Where it can taken from?
Comment 7 Kiryl Kazakevich CLA 2007-04-12 13:05:33 EDT
Hubert, can you include org.mx4j.jmx to the btm.agentController zipfile too?
Comment 8 Hubert Leung CLA 2007-04-12 14:57:56 EDT
Hi Kiryl,

I think you should not use btm.agentController zip file as an input to the build. This zip file will go away. All plugins to need to be a proper eclipse plugin, as part of the TPTP build. This will affect how the agent controller extension is configured.

I can see all four plugins required by Matt is already in the TPTP build (TPTP Runtime zip file).
Comment 9 Kiryl Kazakevich CLA 2007-04-18 11:14:30 EDT
Done in the TPTP-4.4.0-200704180100. Please check.
Comment 10 Matt Mings CLA 2007-04-18 12:37:30 EDT
