Bug 176342

Summary: [MPE] Example MultiPage Editor has no PRINT action
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Ed Willink <ed>
Component: UIAssignee: Platform UI Triaged <platform-ui-triaged>
Status: CLOSED WONTFIX QA Contact:
Severity: minor

Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Ed Willink CLA 2007-03-05 03:22:14 EST
The Example Multi-Page editor adds actions explicitly, and does not provide a PRINT (or PROPERTIES) action. In contrast, the Example Editor inherits a more extensive set of actions from BasicTextEditorActionContributor.

It would seem that MultiPageEditorActionBarContributor should offer more standard functionality (including e.g. line-numbers on the status line).

It would also appear that there is a MultiEditor awaiting an example plug-in to demonstrate its utility.

Wassim, I am triaging some of the bugs in PDE Incubator. Is this an incubator issue? It sounds like PDE-UI.

Platform/UI owns said action bar contributor.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
