For user profiles that have in fact saved the direct connect configurations I suspect we will need to automatically update the config to the localhost:portnumber for that machine

Make sure that things will run smoothly with 1.6.
There have been reported complaints about running IAC with 1.6.

I don't control this.  It really depends on how AC handles 1.6.

I'm removing bugzilla 178160 as a dependency of this feature, since that defect doesn't really block IAC itself.  It blocks certains agents from working with IAC.  

All the code for the new IAC has been checked into CVS.  Marking feature as FIXED.  I will track any issues under new bugzillas.
