Bug 173183

Summary: Quick search field does not allow text entry
Product: Community Reporter: Evan Hughes <evan_hughes>
Component: BugzillaAssignee: Eclipse Webmaster <webmaster>
Status: RESOLVED FIXED QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Version: unspecified
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
URL: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/
Whiteboard:

Description Evan Hughes CLA 2007-02-06 16:42:46 EST
Build ID: zzzz

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Go to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/
2. Enter text in the Quick Search box. I like "foo".
3. Marvel at the clear, concise, yet unhelpful "'foo' is not a valid bug number." displayed by bugzilla.

More information:
The instructions on the page in step (1) indicate that text entered into the quicksearch box will be used to search the summary field. If that is not the case, the text should be removed.

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.1 on XP.

This has been fixed, and both a bug number or some text can be entered. The javascript on that page had been broken forever.
