I updated the testcase and I still see the same failures on my machine. Marius, please open a separate defect to investigate AGR problem with you machine configuration. It doesn't require 4 defects to track the same problem. Please keep this bug open until we find why is this problem happening. Paul, please try to run the /org.eclipse.hyades.use.cases/gui/Profiling_and_Logging/Launch/Platform.UI.ProfilingPerspective.Launch.Part5.testsuite testcase from TPTP-4_2_2 branch on your T60p machine using 4.2.2 TPTP and AC with IBM JRE 1.4/1.5 (SR1 or SR3) or SUN JRE 1.4/1.5, on my machine it doesn't pass the 60% stage and the target workbench doesn't show up. I was able to run it only when I used IBM JRE 1.5 SR3 on both workbench and AC, but even then it failed. My machine is T60p - 2007-83U, I forgot to mention that I was able to run it only when I used AC from TPTP 4.3, I suspect some fix went in TPTP 4.3 that fixed the 60% hang problem. Assigning to Test project and target 4.4 to follow up. Original problem reported is solved in 4.2.2. As discussed on this week's Test Project call (January 22, 2007), the Test Project will focus on existing P1 - P2/Blocker - Major and P1/Normal and test creation/automation defects (omitting defects dependant on outstanding features) in TPTP 4.4. All other Test Project defects have been targeted to future. If this defect has been targeted to future and you/originator feel it should be completed in 4.4, please provide the necessary reason as a reply to this comment or a post to the Test Project mailing list (tptp-test-tooling-dev@eclipse.org). We will collectively triage and assess our resources to determine a case-by-case decision. Marius, can you check and make sure you do not have any previous versions of the AC installed on the same machine? Sometiems old .dll files will interfere with the AC's operation when running tests. Also, are you able to run Junit and manual tests successfully? (In reply to comment #9) Using IBM 1.5 SR3 on TPTP/Agent Controller 4.2.2, everything works fine. Liz will work at triaging and moving this defect forward. Targeting to 4.4. Could you confirm whether this is still happening for you with the 4.4 candidate build? Most of the test cases have been recently refactored. Updating target to 4.4i3 as 4.4i2 ends 03/16/07. Using the TPTP-4.4.0-200703270100C, this test suite can be executed. If there are failures in the test suite, test case maintenance is the responsibility of the owner of the component under test. Of course, Liz and myself are always available for answering AGR-specific questions. If there is a problem with the AGR, please open a new defect with the specific problem properly documented.
