wrapped words
same problem on AIX *** Bug 16670 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Wassim, see if this is the same as those you already fixed. Can reproduce defect also on Linux RH and SuSE. Just open the Eclipse update site and select a category. Does not lay out properly. Fixed. Look for the fix in the 2.0 F2 driver. Here is a brief explanation of what was causing the problem on platforms other than Windows: Our implementation creates only ONE instance of the Category form, and every time the user clicks on a different site category, we update the header of that form and the body text with those of the currently selected category. We then refresh the page and its components. This worked fine on Windows, but not on other platforms. On those platforms, with every new category selection, when we called the method setText(newText) on the text label, the text label's width and height were not being resized. That is why you see words wrapping around. Its' because the new (longer) text does not fit properly within the boundaries of the original text label. I fixed the problem as follows: Every time the user changes the selection of the category, I dispose the old text label, and create a new one with the new text inside it. Verified in F4. |
