I would like to review and eventually edit the modified/generated build notes file but that is not possible because the dialog immediately commits it.

I need an option to disable auto-commit.

With the move to Git, this tool isn't in active use anymore for anything other than copyright updates.  I'm going to close this bug as we have no plans to address it.
