Currently, the Web Services wizards can't go beyond the Deploy phase when a service/client project is targeted to a server stub. I think we should be able to go through all phases if the server/client project target is a stub and the user has selected a server (i.e. the Web Services wizard does not need to create a server). Currently, you can publish a project targeted to a stub to a local/remote server using the server tools GUI.

The code has been changed to only give the warning:

[server type] has only stub runtimes associated with it so the server will not be created or started.

and silently set INSTALL, START and TEST phase to false if no server had been defined.

If a server is defined, even though it's just stub runtime, the wizard will now allow the user to go through INSTALL, START and TEST.

This change applied to the Web Service wizard and Web Service client wizard.

The code has been released to WTP 3.0 as v200802052046.

Please verify the defect you originated with a recent WTP driver which could be found in:

http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/

If defects in resolved state is not verified within a couple of weeks, the development team might verify and close the defect on the originator's behalf. Thank you for your attention!
