It would be nice to have a facility for closing many open files, selectively.  Sometimes I open many files to make a change and would like to close selected ones after I am finished.  A dialog could pop up showing all open files with checkboxes beside each name.  Those selected would be closed when the dialog was dismissed.

I think this is what Ctrl+Shift+E is for, no?
