Description arne anka CLA 2007-01-05 05:38:19 EST
i use phpeclipse to develop php -- today i would like to try out the php-project but it is unable to provide usefull distinction from phpeclipse, e g the editor is not available (obviously you use the same identifications as phpeclipse does and thus your editor does not show up in "open with ...").

it seems to me that the founders of this project are unable to communicate w/ an already existing solutions but rather ignore an already widespread plugin thus shifting the upcoming problems to the users.

i would highly appreciate if you have a look at the things phpeclipse does and then provide different names and other identifications so i can have installed both phpeclipse _and_ this stuff.

until then i am unable to test.

regarding #1: what is that supposed to mean? that you're unable or unwilling to make your newly founded prokject peacefully coexisting with an old and well established one? where are you from? redmond?

1. I think that this kind of attidute is not apropirate from both sides.
2. We should think about a way to import or convert phpeclipse projects. If
possible to work with it on the same time.

PHPEclipse and PDT are two different projects, we should provide a smoth conversion but still it is not a bug, it is more kind of an enhancment.
