Description Yogev Shani CLA 2007-01-05 02:32:16 EST
Hi

Im usinf the basic memory analasys and it does not work ok.

Lets say i gave the next lines:

for ( int i = 0 ; i < XXX ; i++ )
{
	OrderActionVo m_OrderActionVO = new OrderActionVo();
	m_OrderActionVO.setObjid("" + i );

	if ( i%10000 == 0 )
		System.out.println( m_OrderActionVO.getObjid() );
}

If XXX = 100 then its ok and i see all 100 OrderActionVo instances created.
But if XXX = 100,000 then i get only around 85,000 and if i do it again it 25,000.

What can i do? is it something with the configuration of my eclipse?

I have Pentium 4 2.80GHz , 2GB of RAM.

Thanks allot.

This sounds like a profiling agent problem. I am assuming that the JVMPI profiling agent is being used in this case. Please provide details of what version of TPTP and what version of JVM you are using.

Transfering this to a more appropriate component and owner. Joanna, I assigned it to you because I don't know who is working on the JVMPI agent now.

Set priority to P1 for 4.4 plan closure.

Hi Yogev. Is your Pentium 4 Hyper Thread (HT) enabled?

Since JVMPI is not supported in Java 1.5+, we have no plan to fix

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
