Description Magesh CLA 2007-01-03 08:10:24 EST
Hello,

I am using "org.eclipse.compare.examples.xml_3.0.0" ecliplse plugin for comparing two xml files in my application. The comparision is working fine. But when we check the body level comparision, the highlighting of different text in a line is not working fine.
For example,
The aaa.xml contains the text
<element>AAA</element>
and bbb.xml contains the text
<element>BBBB</element>
when we compare these files, the difference is shown by highlighting "<el" and "<ele" in aaa.xml and bbb.xml respectively. The exact difference "AAA" and "BBB" is not highlighted.

Any solution to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Magesh

I'm not sure if a bug in an example can really be classified as major. I can;t promise anything since we're a bit short on manpower but I'll try to have a look at some point during 3.3. If someone else wanted to tack a crack at this, we'd be happy to accept a contribution.

I believe this was caused by a change in TextMergeViewer that has since been removed. When I try this with the latest 3.3 builds, it works as expected.
