I think a lot of people looking foreword to have a better integration of maven2 multi module projects:

--masterProjectUnderVersionControl
----.project
----pom.xml (parent pom)
----generalPorjectStuff
----module1
------.project
------pom.xml
------ ..
----module2
------.project
------pom.xml
------ ..

I think the is a great user movement concerning nested project structures. When will eclipse support that?

Thanks in advance, Leif

I wouldn't hold your breath. People have been asking for related bugs (nested project structure support, putting the manifest.mf in the right place etc.) for some time, and it's got nowhere.

The problem is that bugs are fixed on a need-to-fix basis, and since none of the Eclipse stuff is developed with Maven, the fact that these are problems doesn't seem to have much relevance on the Eclipse build process. That and the fact that there's only a finite amount of resources available to fix bugs, and the priority just ends up getting focussed elsewhere.

I'd be prepared for a RESOLVED DUPLICATE of some other bug, or (if you're really unlucky) entering the RESOLVED NEVER state of doom. Sorry, I mean RESOLVED LATER.
