In our project the built-in handling of protected regions doesn't satisfy our needs. Therefore I have written sum extensions to XPand which provide
- ability to handle protected regions in file scope (up to now global scope) 
- improved handling of protected regions (store them in a separate file, one file 
  per modified file, at the end of the actual file)
