Description Ruth Lee CLA 2006-12-01 11:31:59 EST
Andrew, who helped us out with our 4.3 tp1 testing, sent the following feedback on that test case:
Platform.UI.LogView:

The tests here are not clear for me to follow. For example:

  Correlation: [By timestamp]
-Open each type of log file (e.g. Apache/IHS access.log/error.log).
  -Open the Log interactions view.
-When prompted to select a correlation schema, select the Default Time-based Log Record Correlator and click OK.
-Ensure that the number of log entries and the first, middle (guess) and last log records are the same as in the actual files. Also, verify the timestamps of the first, middle (guess) and last log records. Finally, verify that all the log records are displayed in sequence (e.g. sorted based on creationTime and messageCount).
  Platforms: W2K

I'm not sure what "each type of log file" means. Are there examples in the test suite? The rest of the tests in this suite are similar so I'm not sure how to test this at all. I deferred this to Alex since he owns the tests.

Target to future. Cannot be contained in 4.4 due to limitation of resource.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this originator of this enhancement/defect has an inactive Bugzilla account and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
