Description Jörg Thönnes CLA 2006-11-29 05:54:50 EST
In the Team Sync perspective / Changeset model,
the CVS comments are displayed as one, long line.

I would prefer them to see as multi-line comments.

Alternatively, a nicely formatted tool-tip would be great.
This could also applied to the entries in the History view.

The number of lines to display should be configurable and if exceeded,
trailing ellipsis ("...") could be displayed.

Possibly, there are other places where the a "CVS comment tooltip" is applicable.
Comment 1 Jörg Thönnes CLA 2006-11-29 06:37:26 EST
In the "Outgoing Mode", the change set tooltip could display the current
check-in comment of the change set.

Unfortunately, tree tooltips are used to show the item label if it is wider than the view so we can't really use them for something else. You could have a popup like the onces in the Java editor for content assist. Unfortunately, we don't have the manpower to address this issue but we are happy to accept contributions.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
