Sometime the View selected by using Ctrl F7 is different than the one you cose.
This is a Linux only issue so I suspect it may be a focus problem with SWT.

STEPS
1) Open the Resource Perspective
2) Focus on the Tasks View
3) Hit Ctrl+F7 and select editors. The Tasks View will get focus. This does not
happen if you select the Resources View

Another way
1) Open install/update
2) Select the Featue Updates View
3) Select Available Updates
4) Hit Ctrl-F7 and select Preview
5) It will go back to Feature Updates

This looks like a dup of bug 16577 which was logged in core...
Comment 2 Nick Edgar CLA 2002-11-04 23:37:46 EST
The Preview view does some focus tricks, which mess up Ctrl+F7.
This has been PR'ed against Update.
The rest sounds like a dup of 16577
