After digging in the Eclipse forums, I conclude that the current Eclipse text editor architecture does not support such feature. See bug #35779 (bugzilla). In addition, there's a document in Eclipse Wiki on this issue : http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Word_Wrap_for_Text_Viewer_and_Editor I also installed the Virtual Word Wrap written by Ahti Kitsik which looks very nice, but is still "Virtual"...
