It is slowly but definitely getting on my nerves, that I constantly have compile errors after code regerating (be it the emf-.edit(or)-code or in the .diagram code. Obviously these errors are caused by failed attempts to merge the newly generated code with the already existing code (even though I haven't any modified or non-generated code, yet!). After deleting the buggy projects and another re-generation round things are usually back to nomal.

At least for the phase where one hasn't customized anything, yet, it would be VERY helpful and timesaving to have a flag that simple FORCES all existing code to be overwritten WITHOUT trying to merge anything (or delete the old code before the regeneration).

I've submitted https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=175282 so if the code merger could be a bit more agressive it won't be such a pain. For now you may just remove the projects.
