The plug-in org.eclipse.hyades.test.core has a lot of unused dependencies.  The following list of plug-ins is reported as being unused when the "Find unused dependencies" link is used under the manifest file:

org.eclipse.core.resources
org.eclipse.core.runtime
org.eclipse.emf.core
org.eclipse.emf.ecore.xmi
org.eclipse.hyades.execution
org.eclipse.pde

In addition to the list above org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui doesn't seem to be required for the plug-in to compile.  org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui adds in profiling specific functionalities that is often undesired by consuming products that are only interested in testing functionalities.

There really isn't a good component home for this.  I am re-assigning to Paul, and suggest he should make a recommendation and run it by the key test project committers to validate there is consensus.

Deferring to 4.4 since these additional dependencies do not negatively impact the product.

Has the priority for this defect been recently reviewed given its severity?  If not, please take a few minutes and reevaluate the priority.
