Description
Balaji Srinivasan
Can you provide more information? Which hyberlink are you referring to? Maybe a screen capture can clear things out. Thanks. Assign to Test.UI component for further investigation. Reassign these Test.UI bugs/enhancements to Jerome. Reassign to the test log maintainer. Please target to 4.4 and review the priority according to http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/development/bugzilla.html. Created attachment 52886 [details]
Patch file
New protected method to access the test link for subclasses.
Paul, any possibility we can get this in 4.3.i3? (In reply to comment #7) > Paul, any possibility we can get this in 4.3.i3? Sorry, normal/P3 defects cannot be argued into 4.3 i3 unless the severity/priority are incorrect. ACTION ITEM: Please target to 4.4 and review the priority according to http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/process/development/bugzilla.html by the end of 4.3 i3 (Friday, November 3, 2006). Fix in hand but since normal defects are not approved for 4.3, retargeting to 4.4. Sizing updated as provided by Bianaca. Targeting to future since not containable in 4.4. As discussed on this week's Test Project call (January 22, 2007), the Test Project will focus on existing P1 - P2/Blocker - Major and P1/Normal and test creation/automation defects (omitting defects dependant on outstanding features) in TPTP 4.4. All other Test Project defects have been targeted to future. If this defect has been targeted to future and you/originator feel it should be completed in 4.4, please provide the necessary reason as a reply to this comment or a post to the Test Project mailing list (tptp-test-tooling-dev@eclipse.org). We will collectively triage and assess our resources to determine a case-by-case decision. Correction: The Test Project mailing list is tptp-testing-tools-dev@eclipse.org. The requirement for the defect is for the IBM Product:Rational Functional Tester and it would aid in enhacned user experience. Without this fix, the tptp logs wont look appealing to the user as it would show "inablity to associate" for the hyperlink and no action would take place when user clicks on the hyperlink. Without the fix, tptp logs wont get familiarized and the intergation with products like TM on CQ (ClearQuest Test Manager) (that depends on the TPTP) for logging would get clumsy. Hence the fix need to be in the latest release. It was triaged to 4.4 but later set to future. It would impact the user acceptance of tptp and if user dont use the tptp logs now it would not be in future too. Also when the fix is in hand, it really crucial for the fix to be contained in the latest release. Assigning target. Fix delivered to 4.4. Reporter: Please verify and close in preparation for shutting down the TPTP 4.4 release. Thanks. I wish to have the hyperlink accessible in the org.eclipse.hyades.test.ui.forms.base.ExecutionEventDetailsPart. The earlier fix holds good but the real fix we need is in ExecutionEventDetailsPart. I also request you to have the same fixed by 4.5 for our product Rational Functional Tester. thanks S.Balaji Sorry for the confusion. The following stable provisional API has been added: org.eclipse.hyades.test.ui.forms.base.ExecutionEventDetailsPart.getModelElementLink() org.eclipse.hyades.test.ui.forms.base.ExecutionEventDetailsPart checked in to CVS (HEAD). Closing by default since not closed by the originator in the 7+ months since being resolved. Please reopen if the issue is still present in the latest TPTP release or the resolution is not correct. |
