Please make task activation optional. So, I can turn this off.
Comment 4 Raphael Ackermann CLA 2006-10-12 12:41:24 EDT
It is optional.

Ctrl+Shift+F11 opens the selected task.
Ctrl+Shift+F12 activates the selected task.

I've only added support for double clicking opening when F11 and activating when F12

Raphael: I'll review this when I do a pass through making our actions commands (bug 145884). Note that in the Mylar -> Tasks preferences you can set a preference have the "open" (i.e. double-click) action activate tasks. This is how I work, a side benefit of which is the fact that it's prompting me to improve the performance of task activation (dominated by Eclipse editor open time).
Comment 6 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2006-10-12 13:06:26 EDT
I thought this issue is about doubleclicking in Task List view...

I had this on for a while as well, but it just proved too slow if all I wanted to do is edit a comment/note. Although this could be worked round by opening task where one is not interested in the context, via ctrl+shift+f11
Comment 8 Mik Kersten CLA 2006-11-06 12:40:09 EST
I have made the Task List follow the workbench open policy (Preferences -> General). We did not do this previously because opening the task required a round-trip to the server, but since it no longer does the performance is acceptable. The option to activate on double-click is unchanged, but open can now also happen on single click can will now open if that workbench prefernece is set.

Raphael: if there is something that you're still missing let me know.
