I have added a FileFieldEditor to select an application under OS X, when you select an Application (e.g. Safari.app) it tells you that its not a valid file, this is because applications under OS X are actually folders (of a special kind)

This is unexpected behaviour as on a PC we can use this to select an application.

Is there an entry in the log that is created? If so, can you post it to the bug report?

There is no entry, it just doesnt work as it should, How would one select an application in OS X? (as mentinoed before, applications in OS X are a folder with the extension .app)
