I've been using the Jobs API for runnning few "User" Jobs but once I say run in background i cannot bring the Dialog back (up by clicking the progress indicatorin the progress area ) because our  RCP App doesnt have progress view for obivious reasons. 
I have a feeling that that there should be a method in API which would tell the the indicator to bring the modal dialog back up instead of showing it in the "progress view".

There are currently no plans to work on this feature

As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
