Description Pawel Piech CLA 2006-10-04 00:09:33 EDT
CDI-MI has a standard launch configuration and a set of options to connect to different variants of GDB on different platforms. Even though in theory all these debuggers are the same, they support slightly different features and have slightly different bugs.
Rather than creating one launch configuration (and corresponding DSF-MI implementation) to connect to all these different debuggers, create multiple launch configurations which support the varying options required by the different debuggers.

Effort Estimate: 15, 5
The effort is high, because all the different debugger variations will need to be accounted for in the service implementations.

Removing from list of dependencies for the GDB debugger implementation plan item: bug 187863, because that plan item only covers latest GDB version running on Linux.

Also marking as WONT_FIX, because supporting all different variants of GDB is not in the scope of this project.
