Description Krishna Venkatraman CLA 2006-10-02 16:25:48 EDT
This project improves the scaling and grouping of charts. Items include 2 levels X grouping (e.g. by Year and months, shown on Axis as 2 layers of labels); improved datetime and range grouping; multiple Y aggregates for X series grouping (each Y series can use its own aggregate function); multiple Y series grouping (each Y series can have its own grouping key); support linear axis for Line/Bar/Area (non-stacked) charts; datetime scaling support; overflow data handling; steps number customization; integer scale support.

Most items already done in M5. Remaining TBD:
items include 2 levels X grouping (e.g. by Year and months, shown on Axis as 2
layers of labels)
integer scale support.
Comment 2 David Michonneau CLA 2007-04-03 15:01:18 EDT
2 levels grouping cannot be completed in 2.2 timeframe, it will be done
post-2.2.
Integer scale support requires complex changes in the autoscale code. We will
try to do it in 2.2 though as it shouldn't require api change.
Comment 3 David Michonneau CLA 2007-05-16 11:59:27 EDT
integer scale support is done, user can simply set a number format on the Axis
to display the integer portion and it will not duplicate values anymore.

I mark this bug as resolved. The 2 levels grouping will be done as part of the
cube/chart integraiton in post 2.2
