Description Yuri Magrisso CLA 2006-10-02 07:04:55 EDT
When I embed the MapPoint Control (from MapPoint 2004 North America) it seems that the control does not gain focus. I looks like OleControlSite captures the mouse events instead of passing them to the MapPoint control.

I am attaching a sample application, which embeds both the MapPoint control and the IE control for comparison. One can clearly see how the cursor does not change over the MapPoint control - by default it should be a cursor for selecting a section of the map. All mouse clicks are reported by the event listener set in OleControlSite and are not reported by the listener set for the ActiveX control.
On the other hand the mouse listener set in the OleControlSite for the IE control does not report mouse click events and the cursor changes according to the content in the displayed web page.

Duong, can you recreate the problem? I guess we need the MapPoint control. Please check to see whether we can get a version of this to test with.
Comment 3 Duong Nguyen CLA 2007-04-18 17:01:00 EDT
I don't have MapPoint.

Yuri, we made some changes in the area recently. Can you verify if this problem still occurs for you using Eclipse 3.3?

I tested now with SWT version 3347 and the same version of MapPoint (2004) - it behaves the same.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
