In the Preference of Large Resource Support, editing current setting does make any effect.
Start the eclipse
Open Window-->Preferences-->Profiling and Logging-->Large Resource Support page
Check Enable large log support.
Add db2jcc.jar file path in JDBC driver location.
Add Database type : db2 or Cloudescape/Apache Derby
Add database location (Host:port) hostname:50000 or hostname:1589. Here add invalid host name.
 Add Username and password
 click on Test Connection.
verify that User get prompted with the Test connection error.
Now change the host name to correct name.
click on Test Connection.
Same error get prompted to the user even if the host name is correct.

This is for all the field in this page.
Workaround is to delete the testConnection-ID__DB2.trcadb or testConnection-ID__Cloudscape.trcadb file form users eclipse directory and then 
click on Test Connection.

This is a usability issue and must be added in 4.3.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since the originator of this enhancement/defect has an inactive Bugzilla account and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
