Description Paulo Merson CLA 2006-09-07 09:40:12 EDT
In Eclipse 3.1.2, one cannot use argument "-name" anymore, as described in the article as in the following line:
build -output "rcp browser.exe" -name "RCP Browser"
It should be just
       build -output "rcp browser.exe"
The "-name" argument causes a make error:
NMAKE : fatal error U1065: invalid option 'm'

(Using Microsoft nmake version Version 6.00.9782.0)

I also suggest that the article be updated to point to the product editor:

Can you submit a patch?
Comment 2 Wayne Beaton CLA 2006-11-27 14:45:18 EST
Pascal or Andrew, can you validate these suggestions? A patch would be ideal...

After a quick review, this article needs more work.
Comment 4 Wayne Beaton CLA 2008-04-02 16:14:54 EDT
Marking as LATER.
Comment 5 Eclipse Webmaster CLA 2009-08-30 02:50:57 EDT
LATER/REMIND bugs are being automatically reopened as P5 because the LATER and REMIND resolutions are deprecated.
Comment 6 Eclipse Genie CLA 2014-06-07 15:28:04 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
