Bug 154645

Summary: Last line in the console is not visible when scrolling to the end of the console
Product: [Eclipse Project] Platform Reporter: Simon Lieschke <simon.lieschke>

Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE QA Contact:
Severity: normal

OS: Windows XP

Description Simon Lieschke CLA 2006-08-22 01:21:14 EDT
Steps to reproduce:

1. Run the attached Java class passing an argument of 200.
2. Scroll up to line 1000 of the output.
3. Rapidly flick the mouse wheel down until the console stops scrolling to get to the bottom of the console.

Expected results:

The last line output to the console is visible.

Actual results:

The last line output to the console is not visible, and I have to scroll back up to get to the last line output.

Interestingly this problem seems to be exasperated by long lines logged to the console. If you re-run the steps passing an argument of 5 to the program the last line of the console will be visible, but there are still some 'empty lines' appearing.
