Because traditional navigation-by-browsing does not scale to large data sets, we should generalize and extend the existing search-based rapid navigation mechanisms (e.g. "Quick Find Class"). [UI, UA]

Marking as fixed.

As part of this 3.3 plan item, we worked on the following:

- Improving scalability of FilteredTree (bug 128233); FilteredTree is now being adopted by many downstream plug-ins

- API and implementation of a dialog for selecting one of many items (bug 94382), this is now used for both the Open Resource and Open Type dialog

- Quick Access dialog (see New&Noteworthy for 3.3 M7)
