This is actually a request for enhancement, but the feature requested is rather critical and I could not find a severity for "critical enhancement", and it is slowing me down considerably.

Anyway ~ this is a UI design bug.
At start node, I wish to create a new node for state machine,
which is alphabetically way down the list.
So, I had to click and click and ... click before I reached state machine.
Imagine my difficulty in designing my state machine.

Please implement as a vert scrollable menu instead.

The UML editor is just a sample; it's not intended to be a robust, full-featured editor. However, if I understand what you're asking for, bug 142656 should help. If not, let me know, and we'll see if there's any other way it can be improved. Note that using the down arrow key and/or the letter keys (which will jump to the item starting with that letter) when scrolling through large menus also helps...
